After a couple of months of no major theatrical activity in Islamabad, the stage at Pakistan National Council of Arts has come to life
again with a spectacular performance by some extra ordinary folks.
With an average age of 12, the performers of Aladdin- A Musical Spectacular enthralled the audience in a hall that was almost house full on the first day of the show. Zarnab Rashid and Mustafa Ali Khan were the only grown up actors who seemed to be having as much fun as their younger colleagues.
Ibrahim Khan, the Director of the play, mentioned this being his first directorial experience with children and one he thoroughly enjoyed. He has a diploma in playwriting from the National College of Arts Department of Theatre. and was nominated to work with the English Theatre Berlin by the German Embassy in 2009. Since then he has worked with different plays in Berlin and a few popular theatrical plays in Islamabad namely The Producers, Can’t Pay Won’t Pay, Diary and Extra.

The rest of the talented team includes Bina Zafar (Producer), and Ahmed Ali (Musical Supervisor).
The play is on till this weekend at PNCA, Islamabad.
